damn. had a long day today. woke up around 630am to go to de US embassy. luckily my dad drove me dere, else i gotta wake up even earlier than this. de time for my interview is btwn 9-11am. and i'm told usually dere are many ppl Q-ing outside de embassy before 9am, so i went dere at 815am. haha. typical kiasu singaporean. met up with yawen and dennis. at around 845am we are alrdy seated inside de room for visa applicants. by 9am or rather, 855am, de interview began. de interview was short and sweet lah. phew! initially i tot it will be quite tough to get thru cuz of de tight US security now. after we cleared de interview, we took a cab and headed down to Fluke Networks company to collect our cheque. so for de whole morning, we went to 2 places. itz such a hassle having to travel here and dere. not like i haf a choice though. anyway my visa has been approved so at least, my effort is not wasted. highly likely i'll be leaving next tue, 12th july. my flight is at 720am. who wanna send me off so early? haha.
during noon, yawen and i met up with our insurance agent, Max. he's actually my aunt's fren's son. haha. had our lunch at Circular Rd which is behind Boat Quay [Max's recommendation]. de food dere is affordable and nice. btw de coffee house is called Rabbit Seafood. Lol. funny name huh. well, i hardly travel to dat side of singapore. so today is sorta an eye-opener for me. haha. no shopping malls but dere are many pubs and eating places. after lunch, we went to de AIG bldg which is near Gallery Hotel, to settle our insurance. again, itz a new place to me. haha. feel so "sua gu" all of a sudden. we stayed dere for abt 2hrs waiting for our insurance to be processed bla bla. i played dis Nintendo game on Max's laptop to while away my time. very addictive game. haha. haven played Nintendo games for ages. but i'm never gd at such games lah. =P
after dat, we decided to catch de movie - Fantastic 4, since max had to return to office only in de evening. took a cab down to marina square, hoping to catch a show at de earliest timeslot. too bad de earliest time at GV Marina was 355pm and itz considered late for max. so we proceeded to suntec. luckily, dere was a 230pm show. we were 5mins late but we din bother and juz bought de tix right away. haha. dere will be advertisements before de movie starts wad. speaking of Fantastic 4, itz a great show! i give 4 out of 5. haha. i like dis kinda genre of movies apart from horror flicks. ya anyway de show's really damn nice and de guy [Chris Evans] who acted as de 'Human Torch' is HOT. gd looking and very well built. hee. =) click here to see de pics.
after de show, yawen and i went home, while max went back to his office. it had been a very busy day indeed. so tiring. Zz. k la, shall go and sleep now. ciaoz~!! meeting de S05 peeps later in de evening. wee~ will be back for more updates. *winks*
